There is much clinical evidence that stable marriage and family promotes good health.  Premature death rates for singles, divorcees and separated partners are significantly higher than for marrieds in Australia and many other Western countries.  Despite the significance of this, many popular magazines insist on publishing titillating articles encouraging fly-by-night affairs at the office or on vacation.

Some moralists are self-righteous, jealous, passionless bores.  But in general, living a morally clean, self-disciplined, faithful, living lifestyle is downright healthy.

The Bible is the advice of the ultimate manufacturer of life.  We should listen more.  Maybe the manufacturer’s directions should be heeded.  Don’t steal, don’t commit adultery, and don’t covet may not be repressive ‘no fun’ type restrictions.  They might just be the best advice for a fulfilling, truly human existence.
